Amanda Townsend is the Head of Talent & Community / Operating Advisor at Canaan, where Amanda advises on HR, Recruiting, and DEI for portfolio companies. Amanda also serves as an Advisory Committee / BVI Fellow at BLCK VC and is a Career & Leadership Coach + Keynote Speaker + Consultant at BoldChange. Previously, Amanda held roles at Fivetran as Vice President of Global People Operations and Director of People & Culture, at Outreach.io as HR Manager, at The Production Network as Project Coordinator and Executive Assistant to CEO, as well as various event and marketing roles as an Independent Contractor. Amanda has a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communications from Seattle University and holds certificates in Human Resources Management and Life Coaching.
