We are actively seeking a Test Engineer based in Scotland/UK

Required Competencies - Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following is a requirement: Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

Required Competencies - Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in Product Test in a Fabless semiconductor environment engineering role is desirable. This job may also be suitable for a graduate.
  • Possesses good communication and influencing skills and can communicate with ease to customers, Senior Management and all Kandou groups.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and structured problem solving such as 8-D and other tools.

Required Competencies - Skills

  • Able to work to tight and variable time scales.
  • Self-starter and ability to plan and manage own workload.
  • Flexibility to travel to Kandou’s offices, supplier, and customer locations.
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills with excellent numerical ability.
  • An innovative, creative, lateral thinking problem solver.
  • Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of C++ or equivalent programming language.
  • Scripting skills using Python, PERL, Unix.
  • ATE (V93K/Teradyne) expertise is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis tools (JMP etc) to support NPI and Production would be advantageous.

Responsibility and Authority

  • The position will report to the Test Development Manager.

  • Develop test plans, taking inputs from key stakeholders.

  • Design ATE board-level hardware, Probe and Final Test.

  • Debug complex software and provide clear documentation and communications.

  • Create reliable qualification, characterization and production test program solutions based on data sheet/SCM and design requirements.

  • Co-Work with Product Engineering Team to approve release to production of test program solutions, by determining production readiness, using GR&R methodology.

  • Support bench to ATE correlation exercises.

  • Collaborate with external vendors and OSATs for production transfer release.
