Kaelin Alexander, PhD

Kaelin Alexander, PhD has a wide range of work experience. In 2021, they began working as a Sales Technical Support Lead for Kanopy. In 2020, they served as an Editorial Assistant for Reading List Editorial, guiding books through all aspects of production and providing analysis to shape the editing process. In 2019, they worked as a Branch Library Specialist for the Boulder Public Library's Meadows Branch, providing front-line research help, reader's advisory, and technology troubleshooting. In 2018, they held the role of Adult & Technology Guide (Programming Librarian) at Anythink Libraries, designing library experiences and overseeing technology and adult programs. In 2017, they worked as a Communications Associate for the University of Colorado Denver, devising a multi-modal messaging strategy for the school's strategic plan and writing in-depth faculty profiles. In 2015, they worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor of English at Washington and Lee University, teaching courses in LGBTQ studies, film, the history of science and technology, and Victorian literature. From 2008-2005, they held multiple roles at Cornell University, including Instructor & Lecturer, teaching courses in composition, and Graduate Researcher, researching topics such as the history of paleontology, 1990's queer cinema, and contemporary Canadian literature. In 2005, they interned at The Kenyon Review, reviewing journal submissions and maintaining the journal library. Finally, in 2004, they worked as a Web Assistant Intern at Kenyon College, sharing stories about the college through its website and alumni newsletter.

Kaelin Alexander, PhD, earned a Doctor of Philosophy in English Literature (British and Commonwealth) from Cornell University between 2008 and 2014. In 2020, they attended Flatiron School for Full Stack Web Development. Prior to their doctoral studies, they earned a B.A. from Kenyon College in 2003-2007, with a major in English Literature and a minor in Women's & Gender Studies.
