Mika Salokangas

Mika Salokangas has over 30 years of work experience in various roles. Mika started their career at KAVI National Audiovisual Institute in 1990, where they worked as an Archives Assistant for a few months. In 1994, they joined Finnkino Oy as a Researcher before moving on to the University of Helsinki in 1995. At the University, Mika worked as a Research Grants assistant for a brief period. Mika then transitioned to the role of Library Assistant, where they stayed for almost a decade before becoming a Planner in March 2006. In August of the same year, they joined The National Library of Finland as a Librarian, and later became the Head of Customer Service in December 2013. Mika's diverse experience in research, libraries, and customer service makes him a well-rounded professional.

Mika Salokangas earned a Bachelor's Degree in African Studies from the University of Helsinki, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Social Sciences in Sociology from the same university, completing their studies from 1988 to 1994.
