Jason Cooley has extensive experience within the Kansas City Missouri Police Department, serving as a Community Initiative Officer for the Chief of Police since June 2002, where responsibilities include coordinating the Community Interaction Officer Program. Previous roles include serving as a Community Interaction Officer for the Shoal Creek Patrol Division and the East Patrol Division, providing resources and liaison services for various community associations. Cooley is also a Crime Prevention and Risk Assessment Specialist utilizing Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles and has served as a DARE Officer. In addition, Cooley is an Instructor for Strategos International, teaching Intruder Response and Active Shooter Response while advising on crime prevention strategies. Cooley began law enforcement career as a Patrolman from July 1994 to June 2002, assuming various roles throughout that period.
