During their time at The Blade Empire, they also played a crucial role in transitioning the business from a paste-up setting to pagination software.

In the year 2000, Rachel joined the Kansas Turnpike Authority. Rachel initially worked as a Communications Specialist from August 2000 to December 2009. Their role involved managing communications-related tasks. After that, they were promoted to Communications Manager and served in that position from December 2009 to January 2013. Rachel's exceptional performance led to their appointment as the Marketing & Communications Director, a role they held until January 2017.
