Michael Smialek

Michael Smialek has held various roles throughout their work experience. Michael began their career at CA Technologies as a Regional Finance Manager, where they collaborated with sales leadership and managed a team of three employees. Michael then transitioned into a Business Consultant role at Robert Half International before returning to CA Technologies as a Services Consultant for CA PPM. In this position, they provided product overviews, gathered requirements, and configured the solution.

Afterwards, Smialek took on the role of Sr Solutions Consultant at CA Technologies, where they designed and presented demos of custom solutions for new accounts in multiple industries. Michael was also responsible for rebuilding trust and confidence in CA and its products for struggling key enterprise accounts.

Following their time at CA Technologies, Smialek joined Clarizen as a Customer Success Manager for Enterprise Accounts. There, they acted as a trusted advisor for clients and prevented churn by providing detailed re-onboarding services. Michael also promoted the benefits of the Clarizen-Salesforce integration to drive account growth.

Later, Smialek joined WinMill Software as a Project and Program Manager, where they led an advanced resource management program for a medical technology firm. Michael also played a crucial role in the rollout of a project portfolio management system, meeting aggressive project delivery and user onboarding targets.

Currently, Smialek is working as a Principal Project Manager at Kantata, where they oversee client implementations and drives the continuous improvement program for the software platform. Michael ensures that customers utilize the best project management capabilities to ultimately enhance collaboration, improve productivity, and achieve stronger financial performance.

Michael Smialek obtained an MBA in Marketing and Information Technology from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, where they studied from 1998 to 2000. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Agile at Work: Building Your Agile Team from LinkedIn in July 2023, PMP (Project Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute in January 2017, and Certified CA PPM 14X Business Analyst from CA Technologies in May 2015.
