Nick Cottrell has a diverse work experience that spans over 15 years. Nick is currently working as a Senior Product Designer (Platform Extensibility) at Kantata, where they focus on optimizing platform and integration services for the company's business operations product. Prior to the merger with Kantata, Nick worked at Mavenlink as a Senior Product Designer (Account Configuration), where they designed system-wide features to help companies manage projects and teams effectively. Nick also had a brief role as a Product Designer (Contract) at Mavenlink.
In addition to their roles at Kantata and Mavenlink, Nick also served as an Advisory Board Member at Design Thinking at UC Riverside Extension Professional Studies from 2020 to 2021. Before that, they worked as a Principal Consultant at 3DMATH LLC, where they provided technical and design consulting services for advanced digital brands, focusing on immersive experiences and educational workshops.

Nick Cottrell has pursued education in various fields throughout their academic journey. Nick completed a Systems Design Certificate Program in the field of Cornell Engineering from Cornell University. Nick also engaged in learning about Virtual Reality by obtaining a VR Developer Nanodegree from Udacity. Prior to these programs, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Art with an Emphasis in Graphic Design from San Diego State University.
In addition to their formal education, Nick has also obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance in February 2019.
