Shuji Nakamura

Shuji Nakamura is a staff attorney at Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP, resident in the New York office.

Shuji joined Kaplan Hecker & Fink from Paul Hastings LLP, where he worked as an independent contractor conducting document review and translation projects. Shuji also has experience in eDiscovery and translation from Shearman & Sterling LLP, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, and Jones Day. While studying for his LLM, Shuji served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Gerald Lebovits of the New York State Supreme Court, and as a volunteer with the Civil Legal Advice and Resource Office, where he assisted in advising clients defending themselves in consumer debt collection cases. Before obtaining his LLM, Shuji worked for Furumoto Realty as a salesperson and technical writer.

Shuji received his LLM in Corporate Compliance from Fordham University School of Law. He received his LLB from Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan, and his B.A. from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies in Tokyo, Japan.
