Ernie Castruita

Ernie Castruita is a seasoned professional in data engineering and business intelligence with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as VP of Data Engineering & BI at Kaplan since January 2021, Ernie leads the transition to an enterprise data warehouse on a lake house architecture leveraging AWS RA3. Prior to Kaplan, Ernie held roles at BECU, where responsibilities included organizational redesign and BI tool implementation, and at Amazon as Senior Program Manager for Business Intelligence, overseeing analytics tools for international expansion. Previous positions include Director of Supply Chain Analytics at Warner Home Video, Manager of Marketing Research at AdelFi Credit Union, and various managerial roles in the tech and consumer goods sectors. Ernie holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Finance from Pepperdine, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix, and an Advanced Certificate in Marketing Research from the University of Georgia.
