Tuğba Topal

Tuğba Topal, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at Karadeniz Technical University since February 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health from October 2019 to May 2020, focusing on spinal circuits and plasticity. Tuğba held positions at the University of Michigan from September 2014 to September 2019, where contributions included expanding culture technology for human pluripotent stem cells and investigating nanoparticle effects on monocyte migration. Tuğba has a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan (2014-2018), a Master's degree in Computational Science and Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (2020-2022), and an additional Master's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan (2012-2014).
