Shen Zhang

Shen Zhang is the current Vice President of Electrical Engineering at Karma Automotive. Prior to their current position, Shen served as the Vice President of Engineering, Navigation & Telematics at TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) from December 2009 to November 2015. In their role at TCS, Shen was responsible for all aspects of the Navigation and Telematics Division’s engineering organization and product development activities, including serving as a key member of the management team that sets the company’s strategic direction, developing strategic planning for the direction and control of product development activities, ensuring the company maintains and expands its technology leadership position, and conceptualizing and day-to-day management of simultaneous projects. Shen was also the General Manager of TCS China Ltd.

Shen has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Shen Zhang has an MBA in Management in Science & Technology from Oregon Health & Science University, an MS in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.

Shen Zhang works with Kevin Zhang - Chief Technology Officer, Andreas Thurner - VP, Global Design & Architecture, and Ashoka Achuthan - CFO. Shen Zhang reports to Liang Zhou, Chief Executive Officer.
