Ben Herring

Ben Herring has extensive experience in research administration and finance. Ben worked as the Director of Research Administration at the Karmanos Cancer Institute, where they were responsible for managing grant production, supporting scientific programs, and leading project status meetings. Prior to this, Ben was the Director of Budget and Analytics at Wayne State University Physician Group. Ben also held various roles at the Karmanos Cancer Institute, including Director of Research Finance and Manager of Research Financial Analysis. Additionally, Ben worked as a Budget Analyst at Wayne State University, where they provided financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting support to department managers.

Ben Herring holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Military History from Norwich University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2007. Ben also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General, which they completed at William Tyndale College from 1995 to 1999. Additionally, they have obtained Level 1 and Level 2 micro-credentials in research administration from the Society of Research Administrators International, with an expected completion date in 2023.
