Nerissa Viola

Program Leader, Molecular Imaging at Karmanos Cancer Institute

Nerissa Viola is an accomplished professional in molecular imaging and cancer research. Currently serving as Program Leader and Co-leader of the Molecular Imaging Program at Karmanos Cancer Institute since April 2019, Nerissa holds an Associate Professorship at Wayne State University, where tenure began in December 2014. Prior experience includes a Research Scholar position at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from May 2010 to November 2014, and postdoctoral roles at the University of California San Diego and Syracuse University. Nerissa earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Syracuse University and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines.
