Raja Chatterjee

Raja Chatterjee is the current General Counsel at Kasa Living. Prior to this, they were the Managing Director, Global Head of Property Management at Tishman Speyer from January 2014 to December 2021. There, they were responsible for improving tenant satisfaction and asset performance for 80 million square feet of commercial, residential and retail space across the U.S., Europe, Latin America, China and India. Raja also transformed the department of 1400+ employees to a service-oriented hospitality culture and led continuity of operations through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before Tishman Speyer, Raja Chatterjee worked at Morgan Stanley from January 2005 to December 2014. Raja held various positions there, including Managing Director-Global Head, Anti-Corruption & Special Investigations and Global Franchise Committee Officer. In their role as Global Head of Special Investigations, they led a team of attorneys and investigators conducting internal investigations across the Firm’s business lines: Institutional Securities, Global Wealth Management, and Asset Management. Raja also worked collaboratively with U.S. and international regulators and law enforcement agencies, and managed outside counsel.

As the Global Franchise Committee Officer, they reviewed a wide range of transactions and business opportunities that posed significant reputational risks, including regulatory or political risks, human rights, environmental concerns, client integrity, social responsibility and conflicts of interest. Raja prepared substantive briefing papers identifying risks and potential mitigants.

Lastly, as the Global Head of the Anti-Corruption Group, they created, launched and managed industry-leading anti-corruption program. Raja conducted investigations and

Raja Chatterjee obtained their JD from Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law and their BA from the University of Maryland, where they graduated Magna Cum Laude.
