Siim S.

Siim S. has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Siim started their career as a Junior Full-stack Developer at Icefire in 2016, where they worked on creating a vacation and employee profile module and implemented a skill-based search feature.

Siim then joined Nortal in 2017 as a Junior Java Developer and worked on the Smart Port project. Siim took on additional responsibilities as a product owner and system analyst towards the end of the project.

In 2018, Siim S. completed 11 months of mandatory military service as a communications sergeant at Kuperjanov Infantry Battalion in the Estonian Defense Forces.

After their military service, Siim S. returned to Nortal in 2019 as a Java Developer. Siim contributed to the Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund project, where they implemented APIs and worked on maintaining and extending various applications. Siim also worked on T-Mobile's customer portal's promotions module as part of an international team.

Siim S. then joined Kuehne+Nagel in 2020 as a Full-stack Developer. Siim was initially part of a team responsible for building a new website for customer acquisition but was later informed that the project would not proceed with the planned upgrades.

In 2021, Siim S. joined Concise as a Full-stack Developer and worked until 2022.

Currently, Siim S. is working at Katana Cloud Manufacturing as a Full-stack Developer. Siim is involved in product platform engineering, building reusable components and services, providing technical guidance and support to other developers, and developing and maintaining platform infrastructure. Siim is also part of the API team responsible for building and maintaining the API and integration layer of Katana.

Siim S. obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from TalTech - Tallinn University of Technology, where they studied from 2015 to 2020.
