Maja Andjelkovic is an experienced leader in innovation and entrepreneurship, currently serving as the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Team Leader at The World Bank since March 2013, where Maja co-founded XL-Africa and Katapult, two significant programs supporting early-stage companies in Africa and Serbia, respectively. Prior experience includes tenure as a Country Counsellor for Canada at The World Bank, focusing on fundraising and outreach, and as an Associate at the International Institute for Sustainable Development, coordinating research on development and Internet policy. Maja Andjelkovic began their career as a Product Manager at SonicBoomerang, enhancing sentiment analysis tools. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship Ecosystems from the University of Oxford, an LLM from the University of Kent, and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Queen's University.
