Joanie Eppinga is an experienced copyeditor and freelance editor with a diverse background in editing and writing across various sectors. Currently working as a copyeditor for the Wisconsin Historical Society since July 2022, Joanie also owns Eagle Eye Editing & Writing, providing editing, proofreading, and writing services for universities, corporations, and individuals since 1995. Additional freelance editing roles include positions with EDC, Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, Kauffman & Associates, Benefit Comply, LLC, and Sterling Publishing. Joanie serves as an editor for the Journal of Hate Studies and has worked as a research assistant at Gonzaga University. Previous experience includes a communications coordinator role at Catholic Charities Spokane. Joanie holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Concordia College.
