Gyan Kapur

Gyan Kapur is a seasoned venture capital professional with extensive experience in managing investments across various sectors. Currently serving as Co-Managing Partner at Surface Ventures since June 2020, Gyan oversees a $50 million fund targeting seed and pre-seed stage B2B startups. In addition, Gyan is a Kauffman Fellow (Class 27), participating in a prestigious program aimed at developing leaders in venture capital. As Managing Director at Bayes Ventures since August 2015, Gyan focuses on investments in digital health, B2B software, and deep tech. Previous roles include Vice President at Activate Venture Partners and Senior Business Analyst at Gather Health, complemented by a foundational experience as an Associate in FX Options Trading at Citi. Gyan holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a degree from Columbia University.
