Marcel Wipijewski

Marcel Wipijewski's work experience includes various roles and positions in different companies. Marcel is currently the VP of Business Development & Operations at Urbyo, starting in February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Business Development at Urbyo from March 2021 to February 2022.

Before joining Urbyo, Marcel was the CEO and Co-Founder of kawaloo, a digital marketplace for brokering unused space for storage purposes. Marcel started this role in December 2019 and continues to be involved with the company.

Marcel also worked at EY as a Manager from February 2019 to November 2019. In this role, they assisted clients from the automotive and mobility sectors in innovating towards a more sustainable and service-based future. Marcel actively collaborated with public sector representatives and industry leaders to shape urban mobility.

Prior to EY, Marcel worked at Volkswagen Financial Services. Marcel held various positions, including Strategic Coordinator to the Head of Mobility Unit, Business Transformation Manager, and Strategic Trends & Innovation/Corporate Strategy. In these roles, they focused on strategic steering, pilot projects, trend analysis, and innovation management.

Marcel started their career as an Intern at Volkswagen AG in January 2014. Marcel also gained experience as a Financial Planner at the University of Paderborn/General Students' Committee and as an Intern at Ahlers AG and ERIKS.

From 2015 to 2018, Marcel pursued their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Entrepreneurship & Innovation Management at Ostfalia - University of Applied Sciences.

Prior to that, they attended Paderborn University from 2010 to 2014, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in International Business Studies.

In 2012 and 2013, Marcel studied Economics/Finance for a year at Tohoku University.
