Andrew Batteson

Andrew Batteson is an experienced project manager with extensive expertise in the mining and metals industry. Currently serving as Project Director for the Aktogay Phase II Expansion at KAZ Minerals since November 2014, Andrew has also held positions such as Deputy Project Director and Project Director for various studies. Prior to KAZ Minerals, Andrew worked at Anglo American Chile as Portfolio Projects Manager and at Kazakhmys Projects LLC as Project Director, where responsibilities included overseeing the Bozshakol Copper Project. Andrew's career began at BHP Billiton, managing major capital projects within the Base Metals group for two decades. Andrew holds a BSc Hons in Mechanical Engineering from Leicester Polytechnic.
