Stephen O'Boyle

Stephen O'Boyle has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Stephen started their career as an Audit Senior at KPMG Ireland in 2003 and worked there until 2007. Stephen then joined KBC Bank Ireland and held multiple positions, including Manager of Corporate Banking, Manager of Credit Risk Management, Senior Manager of Corporate Banking, and Senior Credit Risk Manager. In 2016, they became the Head of Strategy at KBC Bank Ireland, where they led financial and strategic projects for the company's legacy portfolio. Stephen also served as the Head of Strategy for NPL (Non-Performing Loan) Mortgage Mergers and Acquisitions, overseeing the largest sale of mortgages in Ireland to Bank of Ireland. In 2020, they assumed the role of Head of Strategy for Mortgage Mergers and Acquisitions, leading the sale of significant loan portfolios. Stephen also has teaching experience as a Lecturer of Accounting and Economics at CMI - Communications & Management Institute since 2016. Additionally, they serve as a Director and Trustee of Extern, a role which they took on in 2022.

Stephen O'Boyle has a diverse education history. In 2000, they attended the University of Galway, where they earned their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) with a field of study in Accounting. Following this, from 2003 to 2007, they enrolled in Chartered Accountants Ireland and obtained the qualification of a Chartered Accountant, focusing on Accounting and Finance.

In 2007, Stephen pursued further education at IOB, where they completed a program in financial studies and became a Qualified Financial Adviser. Moving forward, in 2013 and 2014, they attended Lean Six Sigma Belgium to extensively learn about lean methodology, though no specific degree was mentioned.

Lastly, in 2019 and 2020, Stephen attended University College Dublin to pursue a Master's degree in Risk Management, showcasing their dedication to expanding their knowledge and expertise in this field.
