Dane Grismer

Dane Grismer, Ph.D., is a Group Leader and Senior Scientist at KBI Biopharma since August 2017, where responsibilities include managing a team to develop cell culture processes for biopharmaceutical production, utilizing various bioreactor systems. Prior to this role, Dane served at NC State University from August 2015 to August 2017 as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar, focusing on the interaction of particulate matter in bioreactor performance. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, where research centered on single-molecule spectroelectrochemical investigations, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Paper Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University. Additionally, Dane has acquired hands-on experience through multiple research assistant and co-op roles in both academic and industrial settings.
