Key Responsibilities:

  • Traffic Control Preconstruction

    • Review and estimate Traffic Control cost for projects to bid.

    • Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor quotes.

    • Determine cost of traffic control equipment and labor required.

    • Review of construction plans. Look for ways to gain efficiency.

    • Attend preconstruction meetings.

  • Traffic Control Operations

    • Evaluate current and future traffic equipment needs for KCI projects.

    • Evaluate and determine the most efficient ways to manage traffic equipment and labor for traffic control.

    • Find ways to increase safety as it relates to traffic control operations.

    • Coordinate with Project Teams on traffic control needs.

    • Attend project meetings as required.

    • Schedule manpower and equipment for projects.

    • Daily coordination of field staff

    • Train field staff on traffic control procedures.

    • Inventory, track, and maintain traffic control equipment.

    • Forecast manpower and equipment needs.

Physical Demands:

  • Work is normally performed in a split between a typical office environment and interfacing with Operations in the field/on the project sites.
