Eric Wilmot

Eric Wilmot has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Eric is currently working as the Director of Operational Excellence and Business Growth at kdc/one since March 2022. Previously, they served as the Director of R&D Innovation at CooperSurgical from September 2021 to March 2022. Before that, Eric was the CEO/COO of Starbase Technologies from May 2020 to September 2021.

Prior to their roles at Starbase Technologies, Eric worked at Dymax Corporation, where they held two positions. Eric was the Global System Integration Director from January 2018 to May 2020 and the Product Development & Market Strategy Executive from June 2013 to June 2018.

Before their tenure at Dymax Corporation, Eric worked as the Principal of Transformation Strategy at SYPartners for a brief period in 2011. Eric also served as an Innovation Strategist at Wolff Olins from December 2009 to April 2011.

Earlier in their career, Eric held positions as a Principal Strategist & Sustainability Lead at frog design from May 2008 to October 2009 and as an NPD Strategist at Interbrand from August 2007 to March 2008.

At the beginning of their career, Eric worked as a Design Engineer & Account Manager at Square 1 Product Development from September 2001 to March 2005 and as a Design Director at Andrew Wireless from June 1997 to April 2000.

Eric Wilmot has a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Product Design from Carnegie Mellon University, which they obtained between 1990 and 1995. In 2006, they pursued further education by earning a Master's degree in Design Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology, specializing in Business Strategy & Innovation Management. During the same period, from 2006 to 2008, they served as a Professor in the Masters Program at Pratt Institute, focusing on Design Management. Additionally, they also obtained a Master's degree in Design Management from the Institute of Design (ID) in 2006 and 2007. In 2012, they were a Fellow at the Aspen Institute - Business & Society Program.
