Emilio Ferrara is a Venture Fellow at KdT Ventures, specializing in due diligence for early-stage biotech startups. As an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Georgia's Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, Emilio has contributed to significant projects in CRISPR systems and protein glycosylation. Additional experience includes a Strategy Fellow position at Tavros Therapeutics, where Emilio focused on developing cancer therapies, and a consulting role at UNICEF that involved innovative fundraising strategies using blockchain technology. Emilio has participated in the CRISPR Journal Club at the Innovative Genomics Institute, collaborating with senior researchers from notable biotech firms. Currently pursuing dual PhDs in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of California, San Francisco, Emilio holds a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Georgia and a leadership certificate from the University of Georgia's Institute for Leadership Advancement.
