Emil Smith has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Emil started their career at Harris Teeter, where they served as an Accounting Office Assistant, Customer Service Representative, and Cashier. Emil then worked at Teen Mania Ministries as an Accounting Office Assistant, responsible for financial record-keeping and inventory monitoring. After that, Emil joined Britthaven, Inc. as a Certified Nursing Aide, delivering patient care and maintaining a safe environment. At New York-Presbyterian Hospital, they held various roles, including Operations Intern, Operations Analyst, Business Administration Manager, and Director of Business Administration. In these positions, Emil managed budgets, oversaw construction projects, and coordinated the relocation of services. Most recently, they joined Keck Medicine of USC as the Director of Counseling Mental Health Operations, where they oversee outpatient operations and strategic planning.

Emil Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2007 to 2009. Subsequently, from 2010 to 2012, Smith pursued a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at Cornell University.
