Michael Kent

Michael Kent has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Michael is currently serving as the Director of Managed Care at Keck Medicine of USC, where they are responsible for providing strategic direction, negotiation, and implementation of various payment models and contracting strategies. Prior to this, Michael worked as a Senior Contracting Manager at Providence Health & Services, where they were involved in significant negotiations and partnership activities with health plans and payors. Michael also served as a Managed Care Consultant at Glenridge HealthCare Solutions, a Managing Consultant at HealthCare Partners, and the Director of Payor Contracting at DaVita SOURCE. Michael has experience in developing and managing payor contracting activities, network development, and enhancement goals. Before these roles, they worked at CIGNA Health Care, HealthCare Partners, and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles in various contracting and business development positions. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated expertise in negotiation, contract management, and partnership development in the healthcare sector.

Michael Kent earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Southern California in the period of 1985-1990. Later, from 1995 to 1997, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the Questrom School of Business, Boston University.
