Priv.-Doz. Dr. Jörg Bormann

Priv.-Doz. Dr. Jörg Bormann has held various positions in the scientific and research field, beginning in 2010 when they were a Postdoc at the University of Hamburg. In 2016, they became an Assistant Professor (Courtesy) at Oregon State University. From 2017 to 2021, they held positions as Professor at Universität Bremen, Postdoctoral Fellow at Universität Hamburg, Director of Research and Development at VINDEX GmbH, Head of Operations at DiGA Factory, and Head of Operations at Gesundheitsmarktplatz GmbH. In 2022, they will be taking on the roles of Chief Science Officer at Kynda, Fundraising Consultant at Cellbox Solutions, and Chief Scientific Officer at Bosque Foods.

Priv.-Doz. Dr. Jörg Bormann has a long and varied educational history. Priv.-Doz. Dr. Jörg obtained their Diploma in Biology from the University of Tübingen in 2004. Priv.-Doz. Dr. Jörg then went on to the University of Münster, where they earned their Doktor (Ph.D.) in Biologie, allgemein in 2010. From 2011 to 2017, they were a Postdoc at the University of Hamburg. Currently, they are a Professor at the University of Bremen in Molecular Fungal Cell Biology and Phytopathology.
