Sea Young Kim (Sarah)

Non-resident Fellow at KEI

Sea Young (Sarah) Kim is a non-resident fellow at the Korea Economic Institute of America since July 2021 and serves as a young leader and Korea Foundation non-resident fellow at the Pacific Forum. Kim was involved as an EWC-KF visiting scholar at the East-West Center in Washington from May 2021 to January 2022, focusing on U.S.-ROK cooperation in Southeast Asia. Additionally, Kim participated in the National Committee on American Foreign Policy's Emerging Leaders Program and served as a research associate at the East Asia Institute. Previous experience includes a research internship at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and work as a research assistant at 이화여자대학교. Early career roles include serving as a secretary for Speaker Kang Chang-Hee and interning for various organizations, including Arirang Korea TV. Kim holds a Ph.D. in International Studies from Yonsei University and has multiple degrees in Asian Studies, International Studies, Philosophy, Cinema, and Media Studies from prestigious institutions.
