Shamid MUKALU

Shamid MUKALU has worked in various roles since 2015. In 2015, they were a Procurement Trainee at the Ministry of Works and Transport. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Tugende in various roles, starting as a Credit Officer and eventually becoming a Senior Manager Branch Operations. In 2017, they were the Country Launch Manager (Rwanda) for Tugende Rwanda Limited, where they led the development of the Ops manual, SOPs, Application forms, KYC, Business plan & country work plan. In 2022, they became the Director of Operations at KEIPhone Global.

Shamid Mukalu received their Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education from Lugazi Homeland College in 2010-2011. Shamid then went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Logistics Management from Kyambogo University in 2012-2015. In 2017, they completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Branch Management from the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Service. In 2018, they obtained a Diploma in Legal Studies from Alison and a Certificate in Communication Skills from the same institution. Shamid also completed a Training In Pro-active Collections and Deliquency Management from KIPROD Consultants-Kenya in 2017. In 2019, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from BMGI. In 2020-2021, they completed a Lean Six Sigma (CLSSGB) from the Dr. Mikel J Harry Six Sigma Management Institute Asia. Shamid is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration - MBA in SCM from the Uganda Management Institute, which they are expected to complete in 2024. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Sustainability of Microfinance Institutions through Client Training from the Association of Microfinance Institutions in Rwanda, a Certificate in Bank Branch Management from the Uganda Institute of Banking & Financial Services, and Consumer Protection Principles from Accion.
