Job Context:

Our business is based on high volumes of user interactions with low margins. Optimisations are crucial and for this we use Machine Learning techniques.

Your contribution? As a Senior Data Scientist within the Engineering organisation, you are member of the Science team. This team groups Data Scientists and Data Engineers working together to build the optimisation solutions of the Kelkoogroup business.

Your missions:

As Senior Data Scientist at Kelkoo Group, your mission is to build the best approaches to be taken on AI to optimize and support the growth of the Kelkoo business and to execute on this strategy with your team.

You will work very closely with the business on one hand, especially the commercial and finance teams to understand the problems we are trying to solve as a business. On the other hand, you will be working closely with the product team to investigate possibilities and propose solutions.

You have a strong business acumen; can communicate effectively with the business to understand problems they face and new opportunities.

You are also very technical in your role, are proposing new technical solutions which you lead yourself or get the science team to work on. You are passionate about AI, are well informed on the state of the art in research. You like to share with your teammates and help the other data scientist to progress in their skills.

You can be detail oriented when needed, are able to do some in depth investigations on data to understand potential adjustments to be made in the algorithms.

Job profile:

You have successful experience in a Data Science role. You have a deep understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and how to apply them on significant business problems. You are interested by making innovation that change the business.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An in-depth knowledge of Machine Learning principles

  • A pronounced taste for technology watch

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • A successful track record in delivering machine learning projects

  • At least 3 years of practical experience in in Data Sciences

Moreover, mastering written and spoken English is essential to interact with our various European teams. You are capable to present complex matters to others who do not have your scientific background .

Would be a plus:

  • Knowledge and practice of deep learning
  • Knowledge in linear optimization and/or integer programming
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies: Extreme Programming/Scrum.
  • Knowledge of Spark, or even Spark/ML, and distributed computing.
  • Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLM
