Jim Baller is a distinguished legal professional with extensive experience in communications law and public broadband matters. Currently serving as Senior Counsel and Partner at Keller and Heckman LLP since November 2020, Baller has co-founded and presided over the Coalition for Local Internet Choice (CLIC) from September 2014 to April 2024, advocating for community control over broadband access. Baller previously held the position of President at Baller Stokes & Lide, P.C., a firm noted for its expertise in public broadband, from September 1983 to April 2024. Additionally, Baller was a co-host of the BroadbandUS.TV policy series from January 2010 to December 2014 and founded the US Broadband Coalition, which played a pivotal role in shaping the FCC's National Broadband Plan, from December 2008 to December 2010.
