Julia Rajala

Julia Rajala serves as the General Counsel EMEA at Kemira since May 2020, focusing on legal matters related to the Pulp and Paper sector and Global Growth Accelerator, while also advising on governance, property, environmental issues, employment law, competition law, and compliance. Prior to this role, Julia held the position of SVP Legal & Compliance at Terveystalo from December 2018 to May 2020, where responsibilities included establishing the legal and compliance function following the company's public listing. Julia has extensive board experience, including a membership at the Port of Helsinki during its legal incorporation and at Revenio Group Oyj during a strategic transition. Previous roles include leadership positions at Sumitomo SHI FW, Amec Foster Wheeler, and Outotec, where Julia managed legal teams and contributed to large-scale projects and mergers. Julia's educational background includes an LL.B. from the University of Southampton and an LL.M. in EU Business Law from the University of Amsterdam, alongside various legal qualifications from Finnish institutions.
