Markus Korhonen

Markus Korhonen is a Senior Research Scientist at Kemira, where responsibilities include research in sizing and performance since October 2017. Prior to this role, Markus served as Head of Development at Jobexio for several months in 2017 and contributed as a Project Researcher at Aalto University, focusing on industrial research projects related to fiber and paper chemistry from March 2015 to January 2016. A significant part of Markus's academic career took place at Aalto University School of Chemical Technology from August 2005 to November 2014, where work involved research and teaching in surface and colloidal chemistry. Early career experiences include positions at Stora Enso, UPM, and Finnsementti Oy, where Markus gained practical skills as a process controller and conducted master's thesis research. Markus holds a Doctor of Science and Technology in Forest Products Technology and a Master’s degree in Chemical Technology, both earned from Aalto University and LUT University, respectively.
