Alok Mehta

Alok Mehta has extensive work experience, starting from the year 1990. Alok has held various leadership roles in different companies. From 1990 to 2005, Alok worked as the Chief Technology Officer at American Financial Systems, where they led IT architecture, software development, and product life cycle. Additionally, they trained developers and managed a medium-sized IT organization.

In 2005, Alok joined Insurance Technologies as the Senior Vice President of Product Management, where they established the IT strategy, developed offshore sourcing, and led software development efforts.

From 2007 to 2012, Alok worked at Allstate Financial as the Chief Architect, focusing on enterprise-wide IT strategy, planning consulting, architecture, and the evolution of legacy systems. Alok also submitted three patents in the social media and mobile application development space on behalf of Allstate.

Next, Alok joined CNA Insurance in 2012 as the Chief Technology Officer, where they established an enterprise architecture and data management practice. Alok led IT simplification efforts and developed a multi-year strategic roadmap, resulting in savings by optimizing infrastructure and application development.

From 2015 to 2019, Alok worked at Grosvenor Capital Management as the Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer. Alok led key business transformation and strategic roadmap initiatives, established a cybersecurity program, managed a large-scale IT budget, and oversaw geographically dispersed teams.

In 2019, Alok became an entrepreneur, partner, and visionary at CES-CREWS, where they worked until 2020.

Currently, Alok holds the position of Chief Information Officer (Life, Health, P&C), Senior Vice President at Kemper since January 2022. Alok is primarily responsible for people, processes, and technologies related to Kemper Life and Health. Alok leads various business and IT transformation initiatives such as data strategy, legacy modernization, and digitization while supporting the current business and IT operations.

Alok Mehta holds a Ph.D. in Software Engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned an MS in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University from 1997 to 1999. Alok also holds an MBA in Financial Management from Plymouth State University, which they obtained from 1988 to 1990. Before that, they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Finance, General from Southern New Hampshire University from 1987 to 1988. Alok Mehta began their education with a BSC in Math from the University of Rajasthan, which they obtained from 1985 to 1987. Furthermore, they have obtained additional certifications in data science and machine learning from HarvardX - An Online Learning Initiative by Harvard University through edX in 2019.
