Yue Fan

Yue Fan has extensive experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on research, analytics, and data science. They most recently served as Vice President of Research and Pricing at Kemper, continuously from September 2023 to the present. Prior to that, Yue worked at Travelers as AVP of Analytics and Research from May 2018 to September 2023. Additionally, Yue held roles at Plymouth Rock Assurance as Senior Manager of Data Science from November 2013 to May 2018, and at Travelers as Manager of Research and Development from April 2013 to November 2013, Associate of Research and Development from April 2012 to March 2013, and Senior Consultant from May 2010 to May 2012. They also worked as a Research Assistant at Boston University from August 2006 to the present.

Yue Fan holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics and Machine Learning from Boston University, which was obtained from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed an M.S. in Mathematics & Machine Learning at Boston University from 2005 to 2008. They also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Tsinghua University from 2001 to 2005, with a specialization in Applied Mathematics. Finally, Yue Fan attended the Aff.
