Frank J. Vassallo

Frank J. Vassallo has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Frank J. started their career as a Regional Planning Co-ordinator at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care from November 1997 to March 1999. Frank J. later served as the Executive Assistant to the ADM, Health Care Programs (Hospitals) at the same ministry from November 1999 to March 2000. In April 2000, they joined the Ministry again as the Director, Planning & Support – Central South Region until May 2001.

From June 2001 to September 2002, Vassallo worked as the Director of Strategic Business Development at Mitra Inc, followed by a role as Vice President External Affairs at Agfa HealthCare from October 2002 to January 2004.

Frank J. then joined Synergy Health Service Solutions Inc. in March 2004 as a Principal, where they handled various responsibilities including stakeholder relations, financial, communications, and strategy consulting. During their tenure, they managed several projects for different organizations and developed strategies for government relations and human resource capacity assessments.

In November 2008, Vassallo transitioned to OntarioMD as the Vice President Physician IT Adoption and served in this role until August 2015. Frank J. played a crucial role in promoting IT adoption among physicians.

Currently, Vassallo holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Kemptville District Hospital since September 2015.

Frank J. Vassallo received a Certificate of Management Excellence from Harvard Business School in 2018-2019. In 2017, they attended Harvard Business School and obtained a degree in Strategy for Health Care Delivery. Frank J. completed their Masters in Communication Management at McMaster University from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, they earned another Masters degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a specialization in Communication Management during the same period. Earlier on, from 1986 to 1988, they pursued a Masters in Health Services Administration at Dalhousie University.
