Abhijit Roy

Abhijit Roy is a Senior Engineer at Kennametal since September 2021, focusing on ceramics and coatings development. Previously, Abhijit served as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh from May 2007 to October 2021, where responsibilities included supervising students and managing research projects, along with grant writing and publication authoring. Abhijit also held positions as a Research Associate at the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Duisburg-Essen, where oversight of measurement technology and research mentoring were key roles, and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, focused on nanocrystalline ferrite materials. Abhijit earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, between 1992 and 1999.
