Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith currently serves as a Police Officer at Kenner Police Department since February 2024, focusing on law enforcement and crime prevention. Previously, Matthew held various positions in loss prevention and asset protection, including Asset Protection Investigator at Walmart, Assistant Store Manager Operations at Homegoods, and Loss Prevention Detective at TJ Maxx & HomeGoods, where systematic weaknesses were identified and strategies to reduce losses were implemented. Additionally, Matthew served as a Security Forces Member in the US Air Force Reserve from June 2016 to June 2022, managing security for high-value installations. Education includes ongoing studies at the Community College of the Air Force and Louisiana State University since May 2016.
