Leszek Gruchała

Leszek Gruchała has been working in the software engineering field since 2006. Leszek started their career as an Administrator and Programmer at Uniwersytet Szczeciński, where they were responsible for all hardware at the Main Library and created a C# application to migrate data from DOS-based book library to MySQL.

In 2008, Leszek Gruchała joined Nordic Consulting & Development Company as a Team Leader, Java Developer, Technical Project Manager, and Software Engineer.

In 2011, they moved to intive as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Leader. In this role, they were responsible for high-level architecture and time estimation of prospect projects, led a new real estate rentals application for the ING bank, and maintained a middleware application to store and process millions of business orders across various systems of Play telecommunication company.

In 2014, Leszek Gruchała joined Scalac as a Senior Scala Developer and Consultant. In this role, they worked almost fully remotely for various customers, providing improvements and enhancements of a data processing platform, integrations with other ad platforms based on a streaming architecture, helped to design and develop multi-subproject apps, and developed a new app responsible for orchestrating the process in a streaming fashion.

Since 2019, Leszek Gruchała has been working at Kensu as a Backend Technical Leader (Scala) and Senior Backend Developer (Scala). Leszek has been helping the team to push forward by supporting them in their daily work, and is responsible for multiple backend applications and libraries. Leszek also deals with troubles in QA and production environments.

Leszek Gruchała obtained a Master degree in Econometrics and computer science from Uniwersytet Szczeciński between 2007 and 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor degree in Econometrics and computer science from the same university between 2004 and 2007. Leszek also obtained several certifications, including Lightbend Certified Reactive Architect from Lightbend, Inc. in February 2019, Lightbend Certified Expert (Scala, Play) from Lightbend, Inc. in September 2017, Principles of Reactive Programming from EPFL Extension School in June 2015, MongoDB for Java Developers from MongoDB in April 2013, Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 6 Programmer from Oracle in March 2012, and Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in June 2011.
