Myers (L.T.)

L.T. Myers has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources. They began their career as a Senior Human Resource Generalist at TRW Family of Companies in 2000. They then worked as a Manager of Human Resources at Bettcher Manufacturing LLC from 2002 to 2004. Following that, they served in the Employee Relations role at Akron General Medical Center Cleveland Clinic from 2004 to 2006. L.T. then joined Jo-Ann Stores, LLC where they held various positions including Consultant and Director of Human Resources from 2006 to 2009. They subsequently worked as a Regional Human Resource Manager at AutoZone from 2010 to 2011 and as a Multi-Site Human Resource Manager at Alcoa from 2011 to 2013. L.T. then became the Chief Human Resource Officer at Excel HR from 2013 to 2023. They also worked as a Human Resources Business Partner and Human Resource Program Manager at PuzzleHR from 2022 to 2023. Currently, L.T. is the Director of Talent Acquisition at Kent State University. Moreover, they had a significant role as the Director of Human Resources and Communications at IBH Addiction Recovery from 2018 to 2021, where they contributed to the development of strategic initiatives, led cultural transformation, implemented HCM systems, and managed HR recertification. L.T. Myers completed an MBA in Business Administration from Kent State University from 1996 to 2000. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1995, L.T. Myers obtained a BBA in Human Resource Management from Kent State University as well. Additionally, L.T. Myers has acquired various certifications, including SPHR (obtained in 2001) and several LinkedIn certificates such as Certification Prep: SHRM-CP (2022) and Strategic Human Resources (2022). Myers also holds certifications from U.S. Small Business Administration and the Ohio Department of Administrative Services.
