Humphrey Kayange's work experience includes serving as the Secretary General and Assistant Coach at MWAMBA RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB, starting in 2016. Humphrey also worked as a Principal Laboratory Analyst and Laboratory Analyst at Kenya Bureau of Standards from 2008. In 2018, they became an Executive Board Member at Kenya Academy of Sport. Humphrey was also an Executive Board Member and Chairman of the Athletes Commission at the National Olympic Committee of Kenya from 2017. Prior to that, they were the National Rugby Sevens Team Captain for the Kenya Rugby Union from 2005 to 2015. Humphrey also pursued an MSc degree at the University of Bristol from 2012 to 2014.
Humphrey Kayange, OGW, OLY holds a Master's degree in Sport Organisation Management from Université catholique de Louvain, which was obtained from 2019 to 2020. Prior to this, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Organic Chemistry at the University of Bristol, finishing in 2014. Humphrey'sundergraduate education was at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from 2001 to 2005.

The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) is a Statutory Organization of the Government, established by an act of parliament Chapter 496, in 1974. KEBS is the National Standards Body (NSB) and as such is mandated by the Act to perform the following activities: Standards Development Product Certification (Issuance of the Diamond Mark of Quality) Quality System Certification (ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001) Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP codex principles 1997) System Certification Consumer protection through the handling of consumer complaints Assistance with the Implementation of Standards (Quality Assurance) Metrology and Calibration Quality Inspection of Imports at the Ports of Entry Training Programmes and Technical assistance
