Adam Johns has extensive experience in the field of safety management and risk analysis. Adam has held various roles in different organizations, including KeolisAmey Docklands, Cathay Pacific Airways, Civil Aviation Authority, Virgin Atlantic, and Teledyne Controls. Adam has significant expertise in developing safety management systems, implementing restorative just culture, and introducing innovative approaches to enhance safety and organizational objectives. Adam has also worked on improving safety risk management policies and procedures, implementing performance-based oversight, and monitoring safety performance in the aviation industry. Additionally, Adam has experience in analyzing flight data and providing support for incident investigations.

Adam Johns has a diverse education history. In 2004 to 2006, they attended Lutterworth Grammar School, where they pursued A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Geography. After completing their A-Levels, they enrolled at the University of Leeds from 2006 to 2009. There, they obtained a BSc (Hons) in Aviation Technology with Pilot Studies.

In 2009, Adam Johns also attended Cranfield University, where they received a certificate in Flight Data Monitoring. In 2012, they briefly studied at the University of Southern California, focusing on Aviation Safety Management Systems.

Later, from 2017 to 2019, Adam joined Cathay Pacific Airways and obtained a certificate in their Transformation Leadership Programme, emphasizing Organizational Leadership. Finally, in 2019, they returned to Cranfield University to pursue a certificate in Accident and Serious Incident Investigation, specializing in Aviation/Airway Management and Operations.
