Ban Barkawi

Ban Barkawi is a Supervisory Producer at Kerning Cultures. Ban was previously a Middle East Correspondent with Thomson Reuters Foundation, Deputy Editor at Al Bawaba News, and Research Consultant with Mercy Corps. In 2017, they produced the first season of Eib, a storytelling podcast in Arabic on gender-based taboos. Ban has also worked as a Video Journalist for Channel News Asia and a Radio Presenter for Radio Bliss Jordan.

Ban Barkawi has a Master of Arts in multimedia broadcast journalism from Falmouth University. Ban also has a BA in journalism from California State University, Chico with a minor in Italian. Ban has certification from Blue Dot Media Safety Training in hostile environment and first aid training.

Their manager is Batoul Khalifeh, Operations Manager. They are on a team with Gregoris Kalai - Partnerships Lead, Mohamad Khreizat - Sound Lead.
