Sam Bayoumy

VP, Operations & interim CEO, West Orange at Kessler Institute For Rehabilitation

Hossam (Sam) Bayoumy is vice president of operations for Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, where he oversees daily operations across the hospital’s four campuses and closely collaborates with medical and administrative staff to help ensure the delivery of safe, quality care and outcomes.

He previously served as chief executive officer of Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospital - Avon, in Ohio, which, like Kessler Institute, is part of Select Medical. Prior to that, he was the senior director of rehabilitation services and clinical leader for the Brain Injury Program at Kessler Institute.

A licensed physical therapist with more than 25 years of experience, Sam has worked extensively with survivors of stroke, traumatic brain injury, limb loss, and other orthopedic and neurological conditions in the acute care hospital and inpatient, outpatient, and sub-acute rehabilitation settings.

Sam holds a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Kean University and a master’s in business administration with a health care concentration from the University of Scranton.
