Malia Spofford Xavier

Malia Spofford Xavier, PhD, MBA, currently serves as a Professor and Associate Provost at Keuka College, a position held since August 2015. Prior roles at Keuka College include Associate Professor, Assistant Provost, and Assistant Professor. Malia's academic career includes an Assistant Professor position at Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto from April 2011 to August 2015 and an Instructor role at Cornell University from August 2005 to May 2008. Malia served as a Naval Officer in the US Navy from May 1999 to May 2004. Malia received a Doctor of Philosophy in Romance Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Cornell University, a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University. Additionally, Malia holds the credential of Certified Naval Nuclear Engineer from Nuclear Power School.
