Goebel Roman

Head Of Actuarial Affairs at Keva

Goebel Roman has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. From 1999 to 2006, they worked at the University of Helsinki, where they served as an Assistant, Doctoral Student, and Research Scientist. In 2006, they transitioned to the State Treasury, starting as a Data Architect and eventually becoming the Head of Actuarial Affairs. Goebel also briefly held the position of Customer Service Manager before leaving in 2012.

In 2013, Roman joined Keva as the Head of Actuarial Affairs, a role they currently hold. Throughout their time at Keva, they have taken on additional responsibilities, including Acting Director of Finance and serving as the Pension Payments Manager on a secondary duty.

Goebel Roman began their education in 1991 at Ressu High School. After completing high school in 1994, they enrolled at the University of Helsinki, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Mathematics in 1999. Following this, they pursued further education and earned a Licentiate degree in Mathematics from the University of Helsinki in the years 2000 to 2004. In 2001, Goebel Roman attended Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu and completed a Bachelor's Degree in Finance by 2005. Later that same year, they enrolled at the University of Helsinki once again and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics. Their education journey continued from 2012 to 2021 at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health in Finland, where they pursued studies in Actuary.
