Jimmy Carney

Jimmy Carney has extensive experience in software engineering and management, currently serving as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Kevala, Inc. since October 2020, with a prior role as Software Engineering Manager and Software Engineer within the same company. Before joining Kevala, Jimmy worked as a Software Engineer at Convr from December 2019 to October 2020, and at Garmin International from July 2017 to December 2019, where a dual role as Product Manager involved overseeing the development of the "D2 Air" aviation-focused smart-watch. Earlier experience includes working as a Software Engineer II and Head Teaching Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis from September 2014 to April 2017, focusing on curriculum development and teaching various programming languages. Jimmy also completed an internship as a Software Engineer at Garmin International in 2016, contributing to flight simulation software. Jimmy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis, earned in 2017.
