Tim Heist's work experience begins in 2009 when they joined Timberline Church as an Associate Student Ministry Pastor. Tim later became the Student Ministry Pastor and was responsible for teaching and developing curriculum. In 2017, they joined the Teaching Team at Timberline Church, where they focused on writing and delivering teachings across multiple campuses. Tim'srole also involved creating online recordings, live-streaming, and marketing.

In 2011, Tim also started coaching soccer at Fort Collins High School. Tim worked as the Assistant JV and Varsity teams coach until 2017, when they became the head JV Coach. Tim'scoaching style emphasized character development, teamwork, community engagement, and leadership.

In 2021, Tim joined North Group Consultants as a Leadership Development Consultant, where they are currently employed. Additionally, in 2022, they took on the role of Soccer Coach at Keystone FC.

Tim Heist attended the University of Valley Forge from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. The field of study for their degree is not specified. In addition to their college education, Tim has obtained several certifications. In August 2020, they completed the American Red Cross Adult and Infant First Aid and CPR certification. In September 2019, they received the Suicide Prevention- QPR Completion Certificate from the QPR Institute. Furthermore, in April 2019, Tim obtained the Youth Mental Health First Aid certification from the USA Mental Health First Aid institution.
